I'm the Daisy leader for Maddie's troop and I love it. We really have an amazing group of girls and there's just such a sweet feeling of community (they even call each other "sisters," which is adorable).
This week, we had our first field trip. It was correlated to the latest patch we earned, which is about being caring and compassionate. We learned about helping others in need, and how it's better to give than receive.
We headed to a local preschool that is run for homeless children. We really prepped the girls beforehand and they all brought books to donate.
Look at all those books! Even girls that were sick with the flu (and had to miss out) STILL sent books. Love them!
The girls had made goody bags for the kiddos, shared a snack with them, and then read lots of books together.
They all loved it and it was such a great experience.
Next month we'll be touring the fire station and they are very excited for that, too!
