Our Halloween started out with the parade at Maddie's school!

Then, we went with friends down to a sweet street by the beach for trick or treating!

Finally, we headed over for a Halloween dinner, crafts, and more trick-or-treating!

Halloween Night

We had such a fun Halloween night!

We were all characters from the Wizard of Oz:

Dorothy, Toto, Cowardly Lion, and the House that Fell on Dorothy :)

It was great being with all our friends!

After chili and hot dogs, we all set out to trick or treat.

Maddie got to be with some of her best buddies: Emma, Malia, and Ainsley

And of course, the cardboard house that I wore. Mike was awesome in constructing and painting this. I'm not going to say it was totally comfortable to wear, but it was definitely memorable!

The Great Pumpkin

We've done this a couple years now, and last night was just the same.

After getting home from trick-or-treating, Maddie chose five pieces of candy that she wanted to save (3 Tootsie Rolls, a pack of marshmallows, and a Kit Kat for Daddy).

Then, we left her bucket on our fireplace and waited for the Great Pumpkin to come and exchange her candy for a special present.

She was SO excited.

When she woke up today, she ran out to see what he'd left her, which was a pack of stickers, some lip gloss and $5 (which she was totally tickled over!).

Sweet Fall Day

The kids looked so cute in their Halloween shirts today that we went out on the porch for a few quick pictures.

Halloween and the Great Pumpkin

We had an amazing Halloween! Despite me not finishing my Lumiere costume, everything went so well and it was such a memorable night!

Our little Belle (who, lately, is really not looking so little anymore at all!).

And of course, the most amazing daddy ever got into the spirit and completed the Beauty and the Beast scene. :)

Emma, Maddie and Evey rocked the princess thing. :)

Our friends and life group hosted a neighborhood party, which meant that Maddie got to trick or treat with nearly all of her best buds.

When we got home, the Beast and the Beauty sorted candy into two piles:

What she likes and can eat and what she doesn't like and is allergic to!

She left the latter bowl of candy out for the Great Pumpkin...

who took the candy and left three puzzles (dollar spot at Target!) in exchange!

She was absolutely thrilled with this! :)
