Our Griffin Boy

Griffin is almost five months old and I truly mean it when I say:

I love him more and more each day.

He is truly a joy and just so full of happiness.

He's starting to sleep better at night, which may also contribute to that.  Ha!

He is just as content to lay on the floor and watch the ceiling fans as he is to jump in his Jumperoo.

When he smiles, his whole FACE cracks into a smile.  And it's super contagious.  :)

He loves watching his brother and sister, and I love watching him watch them.

He's made the transition to three kids infinitely easier than I ever thought possible.

He really is our easiest baby.

Part of me wants time to slow down so I can just always have him as a baby.

I'm trying to soak in every single second.

Which means that we SOMETIMES let him sleep in bed with us.  :)

4 Months!

How is our baby already four months old?!

This time around, time is absolutely FLYING.

Griffin is such an unbelievable, incredibly joy.  He is the happiest, most mellow, sweetest little guy.  He LOVES to listen to people talk, and always watches faces so intently.

He won't win any awards for nighttime sleep, but he's an awesome napper, so I'll take it.  He still loves his swaddle and naps in his crib, in his room (bedtime is still in a sleeper in our room).

He's still toothless, though we can see one under his gums.  Did you know that we THOUGHT he had a tooth but it turned out to be a calcium deposit?  Crazy boy.

He loves his playmat, ceiling fans, small stuffed animals, and most recently, his Jumperoo.

He's still 100% nursed and therefore, 100% attached to his mama.  His favorite mode of transportation is snuggled in the Boba.  Mama loves it too, but we both get a little sweaty in this heat lately!

Oh Griffin, how is it possible for me to love you more every day??

Griffin, Three Months

Mr. Griffin is THREE months old!

And he's huge.  :)

He's comfortably fitting in 6-9 month clothing and has the biggest milk belly ever.  Ha!

He is SO expressive and is constantly making us laugh with his funny faces.  He loves to smile and when he looks at me and his face cracks into a big grin, I just want to explode.  Aside from smiling, he's a great conversationalist, too; he's constantly babbling and cooing at us.

Griffin is still sleeping in a Rock and Play next to our bed.  We swaddle and nurse him around 10 and he sleeps until about 2am (usually; sometimes later), eats, and then sleeps again until about 7.

Most of the morning is spent watching Grayson run around, playing on his floor mat, chilling in the Mamaroo, or napping.

Unlike our other kids, this guy LOVES his paci!  I've never had a paci baby so this is new, and sometimes I think it's a blessing and a curse.  It DOES calm him down but when that thing falls out, you better be ready to pop it right back in (which can be tricky in the dark)!

I still catch myself staring at him and just taking him all in.  He's just this amazing little human being, with deep blue eyes, and I can't believe he's ours.

Griffin, Two Months

On April 14th, our Griff turned two months old!  As his killer baby acne faded, his sweet smiles really appeared (he smiled earlier than Maddie and Grayson)!

At his 2 month appointment, he was 14.8 pounds and 24 inches long (also the biggest of our babies).

He is sleeping great at night and naps really well throughout the day, despite the little Tasmanian devil (aka: Grayson) that rips through the house.  :)

Everyone that meets Finn comments on his mellow disposition.

He's pretty awesome.  :)

We love you buddy!

Griffin, One Month

On March 14th, Griffin turned one month old!

We were still adjusting to life as a family of five (five?!), therefore this post is oh-so-slightly late.  :)

But our little Finn has joined our family like he's always been here.  He's so mellow and relaxed.  He picked up breastfeeding like it was no big deal, falls asleep so quickly when he's swaddled, and just generally is an all-star baby!

The only hiccup we had our first month was that he had to have his tongue tie corrected.  It turned out to be THE easiest, simplest, and quickest fix ever and now we're good to go!

He had some killer baby acne but that couldn't take away from his adorableness (not a word).  :)
